Agreement

I agree to instruct all students to wear seatbelts while moving always and to check that they put them on.

I agree to drive defensively, aware of possible road threats, to become aware of NZ road hazards such as ice and road works, and wandering cars

I agree not to drink any more than one standard drink on any short term trip, and not at all before a trip over 30 minutes

I agree to keep speed down according to the circumstances

I agree to keep improving my knowledge of advanced driving techniques applicable on school trips such as use of low gears on Mt Arthur, Takaka Hill and similar hills, looking underneath cars for children in towns, planning ‘escape’ routes when in difficult traffic conditions
